FOR THE DEAD
For The Dead is a five piece metal band out of Bakersfield California. Known for their high energy live performances, dual guitar harmonies, melodically aggressive vocal structures, hard hitting rhythms with captivating lyrical content. For The Dead tells stories of life events, mental health and positivity empowering the human spirit through adversity.
For The Dead was formed in the fall of 2018 by childhood friends Michael Agarano and Johnny Shankle. Playing in bands together in the past, the duo reconnected with another long time friend Randy Calderon and sought out to create a band influenced by the music that inspired them to pick up an instrument. With the addition of lead vocalist Logan Morris and drummer Josh Burns, For The Dead has created a sound from their roots as well as taking influence from modern day acts to make a sound they can call their own.
For The Dead has since become a rising force in the local music scene. Releasing their first independent recording, “Requiem: For The Dead EP” in the spring of 2019, along with two single releases in the summer of 2020 for the anticipated release of their second Ep titled “Redemption From Sorrow”.
